Distribution network operators (DNOs) often limit the amount of energy you are allowed to export from your property or land. This, in turn, limits the amount of renewable energy you can generate, limiting your ability to reach net zero through your own operations.
Matching generation and demand is also tricky. Solar arrays produce a glut of power during the middle of the day, while wind power is intermittent. Daytime export prices continue to be eroded by solar cannibalisation, meaning export prices are severely reduced and expensive grid power is then imported to meet the site demand.

Our advanced DC-coupled solution allows businesses to generate enough electricity onsite to reach net zero, while the BESS stores enough energy to ensure that the site’s grid export limit is never reached.
