We're Hiring a Marketing Executive

We're Hiring a Marketing Executive
  • London, Liverpool Street
  • Full-time / open to part-time
  • Remote working with at least 2 flexible days per week office based.
  • £28k-£34k (depending on experience) + discretionary bonus and training budget

Do you have bags of enthusiasm, initiative and ambition? A keen interest in green energy and cleantech? A solid background in B2B marketing?

We’d love to hear from you.

Wattstor is the pioneer in automated energy management systems for renewable generation, energy storage and electric vehicles for industrial and commercial sites, and the team are looking for someone to take on the role of marketing executive. The ideal candidate will be hungry for an exciting opportunity within this fast-paced, scaling business in the highly popular cleantech sector.

The primary goal of the marketing executive is to deliver leads to the sales team and help to develop brand authority through the execution of the content-led marketing plan and marketing tools. Wattstor is looking for a candidate that will be confident to undertake the day-to-day running of marketing campaigns and content, whilst injecting their ideas into the mix! Whilst the marketing strategy predominantly is content-driven, the diversity of the additional role requirements will appeal to a solid “all-rounder” marketer.

This role reports directly into the Head of Marketing, however, whilst supported, the candidate will be expected to run autonomously to deliver and report on the tactical elements of the marketing plan.

There is a lot of room to progress quickly within this role. After an initial stint in a supporting role for the Head of Marketing, this role will then transform in early 2022 into an autonomous position to cover the day-to-day running of department operations whilst HoM is on maternity leave (with ongoing support and guidance from the CEO and Head of Business Development, and during scheduled sessions with the Head of Marketing). This role will then expand, creating the opportunity to develop further into a more senior role, as the team grows once the Head of Marketing returns.

The role involves:

  • Overseeing and developing marketing campaigns across numerous marketing personas and medias
  • Writing and proofreading creative copy for blogs, articles, whitepapers, brochures, adverts and webinars
  • Designing and creating one-off email campaigns, drip campaigns and workflows
  • Segmenting audiences based on marketing persona types, and allocating content accordingly
  • Creating webinars and delivering webinars in collaboration with our in-house experts
  • Booking and executing paid promotional activities
  • Working with partners to deliver joint promotional activities and press
  • Creating marketing materials and tool kits for use in the channel
  • Creating collateral and presentations to support the sales team
  • Working with the sales team and clients to create compelling case studies
  • Acting as brand guardian – ensuring all materials shared across the company comply with the brand guidelines
  • Managing web development, content and design agencies
  • Reporting on performance across the marketing mix
  • Managing campaigns on social media
  • Maintaining the company website using wordpress CMS

In order to fulfil the role, the candidate should have the following attributes:

  • Excellent content writing and proofreading skills
  • Excellent Powerpoint skills
  • B2B marketing experience
  • CRM/marketing platform experience (preferably HubSpot, but not essential)
  • Experience working with Adobe Photoshop and InDesign (preferable but not essential – training can be arranged)
  • Experience working with agencies (preferable but not essential)
  • Experience in the Energy/Cleantech sector (preferable but not essential)
  • A genuine interest in the green transition and renewable energy landscape
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organisation and planning skills
  • Commercial awareness

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Flexible working
  • Training budget
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays
  • A great working culture, where your ideas will be heard and your career goals supported
